Our History
Salon G was originally founded in 2012 by Melissa Gee. With the support of her husband Tim, she created a relaxing, upscale boutique with all of the luxury and none of the hassle.
Melissa first became a licensed cosmetologist back in 2002, and she spent a decade honing her hairdressing skills. But the more she pursued her passion, the more she dreamed of creating her own space—with her own personal style.
At first, Melissa considered going solo, but over the years, she made friends with many talented people in the industry. So instead, Melissa decided to open her own salon, bringing together a team of skilled stylists. Now, the Salon G team has worked together for years and remain close friends still today!

At Salon G, we believe that every person has a one-of-a-kind style. So, when you come to our salon, our job is to listen. We build lasting relationships with our guests, going beyond your hair to learn about what makes you uniquely you. And because we know our guests as people, our team is able to provide better, more personalized services.
Over the years, we chose to keep our salon small and intimate, so you can enjoy a one-on-one experience with a stylist who knows you. That connection helps us bring out your natural potential and create an effortlessly stylish look just for you. Many of our long-time guests come back year after year because they know we care.

Then, every appointment starts with a consultation. Our stylists take the time to listen and understand what you need for your hair, so we can create the best look for your lifestyle. We specialize in looks that are creative, stylish, and easy to achieve at home—making sure your hair looks great outside the salon, too.
Once we’ve talked it through, you can leave the rest to us! Your stylist will thoughtfully design a one-of-a-kind style for you and create a personalized routine to care for your hair at home. From simple trims to complex colorings, you can sit back and relax while your stylist invents your new signature look.
